Zelensky Stunned as Sen. Lindsey Graham Flips the Knife in His Back

Zelensky left reeling after seeing Sen. Lindsey Graham turn against him.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky found himself blindsided on Fox News this week, forced to confront Senator Lindsey Graham’s stunning demand for his resignation—a brutal fallout from Zelensky’s trainwreck White House showdown that’s still sending shockwaves around the world.

In a tense sit-down with Fox News host Bret Baier, Zelensky clung to hopes of mending ties with Trump and reviving talks—only to see those dreams torched when Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) unleashed a scathing call for his ouster, leaving no room for reconciliation.

Infowars.com reports: Following the diplomatic disaster, Graham told reporters outside the White House that he was “proud” of the way Trump and Vance handled “disrespectful” Zelensky and said he should resign if he wants peace in Ukraine.

“He either needs to resign and send somebody over that we can do business with or he needs to change,” Graham said.

Zelensky apparently hadn’t seen Graham’s comments before the interview, because he looked a bit shell-shocked and stammered that only the Ukrainian people can choose their president.

But Zelensky failed to mention that he suspended all elections in November 2023 and shot down President Trump’s recent proposal to hold new elections.

That could be because, according to polls, Zelensky’s approval rating is in the single digits among the Ukrainian people.

Graham’s about-face with Zelensky is particularly significant given the South Carolina senator has been one of Zelensky’s greatest supporters since the Ukraine conflict began in Feb. 2022.

In fact, Tucker Carlson wrote on X Saturday that Graham’s condemnation of Zelensky represented a massive political sea change.

“One of the most striking things about yesterday’s Zelensky press conference was Lindsey Graham’s reaction to it. The two are old friends, but Graham disavowed him within the hour. This was more than just transactional disloyalty. It was scapegoating. Lindsey Graham knows what’s coming,” Carlson noted.

Zelensky squandered all his political capital trying to gain the advantage over Trump by leveraging the press during the negotiation, but as the world witnessed, it backfired bigly, and not even Graham will associate himself with that.
