Debating Europe has been listening closely to what young citizens across the EU want from their leaders concerning the green and digital transition, a democracy fit for purpose, and a safer and prosperous Europe.
They captured the views of over 2,000 young people (aged 18–35) from 5 countries – Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, and Poland in a brand-new report: ‘Voices for Choices – Data for decisions that matter’.
Why this report matters?
- It strengthens the idea that policymaking should not happen without a clear understanding of what citizens think or need – especially young people who deal with the legacies of many decisions.
- It puts real voices and real experiences at the centre. It’s a tool for evidence-based policymaking, grounded in lived realities and the diverse aspirations of a generation that’s ready to be part of the solution.
- It provides a comprehensive overview of key policy areas across Europe, backed by extensive data, allowing deeper analysis of demographic trends across countries and themes.
