Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett has sparked controversy by declaring her loyalty lies with Canada and Mexico rather than the United States.
During a conversation on The Breakfast Club, the Texas Democrat revealed she’s “rooting” for Canada and Mexico as Donald Trump ramps up tariff threats against the two nations.

”They’ve been the ones to call it out. The fact that I am rooting for Canada and I’m rooting for Mexico a lot is really wild,” she said. “But they are really the ones that are speaking truth to power right now.”

Crockett’s carving out a name for herself as possibly the dimmest bulb in Congress, outshining even New York’s famously foggy-headed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
She also insisted that Trump should’ve been barred from ever running for office, brushing aside his landslide popular vote victory over Kamala Harris.
“If it was me, there is no way. Right now, I got no convictions, no arrests, no nothing and I will never be qualified for president in the eyes of the vast majority of them,” she said.
“But a guy who ended up becoming a convicted felon and had other cases that were pending; he is good to go.”
On The View this week, Crockett hinted that Trump’s popularity stems from an uneducated American public—implying they’d see things her way if only Democrats were more successful reprogramming their minds.
“My takeaway is just like the election,” she said when challenged about Trump’s high approval ratings. “We’ve got to do better at education. People don’t understand.
“But you will understand when those hospitals in rural America start closing down even more,” she continued.
“You will understand when you don’t have your Social Security. You will understand when your Medicaid, your Medicare goes away. You will understand as planes continue to fall out of the sky.”
Q: The American people overwhelmingly support what President Trump is doing. What's your take away?
