adidas, the iconic sports and lifestyle brand from Herzogenaurach, is the new official partner of Mercedes-AMG Motorsport. This extends the cooperation between adidas and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team, which was launched earlier this year, to GT Sport and Esports.
As part of a long-term partnership, adidas will equip both the driver squad and the motorsport department of Mercedes-AMG with teamwear. In addition, adidas will from now on be present on all items of clothing and as an integral part of the partner line on the Mercedes-AMG performance cars. Further joint projects are also planned as part of the partnership.
A special vehicle will be used at upcoming weekend’s Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) event, the first endurance race of 2025 on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. The GT3 of the Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed is presented in matt black with the three distinctive stripes on the bonnet and roof and the adidas logo on both doors. The unique car will be driven by Ralf Aron (EST), Lucas Auer (AUT), Adam Christodoulou (GBR) and Mikaël Grenier (CAN).
“I am delighted that we have been able to extend the already successful cooperation between our F1 Team and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport. In future, we will be equipped with adidas for all our motorsport commitments. The partnership is based on a common guiding principle: maximum performance and the highest quality standards in top-class sport. With adidas, we have another strong partner at our side who will define our team appearance in the long term.”
Christoph Sagemüller, Head of Mercedes-AMG Motorsport
”The entry of adidas into GT Sport with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport is an exciting step for us. It is great to expand our partnership to a new dimension and show our commitment to innovation and performance. We look forward to working together and continuing to drive motorsport forward.”
