Hollywood A-list Celebrities Forced To Flee Homes As Wildfires Consumes Parts Of LA

Raging blazes have destroyed over 1,000 buildings, left at least five people dead and displaced tens of thousands of residents from their homes in Los Angeles.

The defastating wildfires that have been tearing through the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, forcing Hollywood A-list Celebrities to flee.

The area is home to Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon, Michael Keaton, Adam Sandler, Miles Teller, Eugene Levy and others.

News 18 reports: The fire started in the Pacific Palisades before spreading toward the Malibu stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway forcing residents to evacuate. At least 6 wildfires are burning across Los Angeles County and five people have been killed. Officials expect death toll to rise.

“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill said on Instagram that he had left his Malibu home with his wife, Marilou, and their dog, Trixie, calling the wildfire as the “most horrific fire since ’93.” He wrote, “Evacuated Malibu so last-minute there were small fires on both sides of the road as we approached PCH.”

Eugene Levy told The Los Angeles Times that he got stuck while trying to leave the neighborhood. He said, “The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal. I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.”

Chet Hanks, the son of actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, said, “The neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground rn. Pray for the Palisades.”

“Halloween” star Jamie Lee Curtis said on Instagram that she was safe, adding, “My community and possibly my home is on fire. My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well. There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information. Please post facts! It will help those wondering!”
