The eagerly anticipated F1 25 video game has launched worldwide, featuring scenes from F1 The Movie and a host of new and enhanced gameplay features.
Not only can players take the lead as team owner in ‘My Team 2.0’, and live the emotional highs and lows of competing at the front of the grid in the return of ‘Braking Point’, fans will be able to get closer to the movie event of the year as EA SPORTS has integrated fictional Formula 1 team APXGP, from F1 The Movie, into the game.
Players who purchase the F1 25 Iconic Edition will have the opportunity to take on the role of APXGP drivers Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce, and play out scenarios from the film following its release on June 25.
The game’s realism has also been further enhanced, as five more circuits on the Formula 1 calendar – Bahrain, Imola, Melbourne, Miami, and Suzuka – join Silverstone in having been digitally scanned using innovative Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology across a race weekend, providing pinpoint accuracy of the tracks and their surroundings, from the asphalt surface to the height of the kerbs.

F1 25 also brings fans a step closer to the real world of Formula 1 with the introduction of a series of gameplay innovations, on and off the track.
Players who want to call the shots can jump into ‘My Team 2.0’ and take on the role of team owner. Alongside running the entire operations from the Team HQ – focusing on Engineering, Personnel, and Corporate – players manage the fate of both their drivers and can switch between the two for race weekends.
Fan-favourite story mode ‘Braking Point’ returns too, giving players the opportunity to write the next chapter at fictional team Konnersport, last seen in F1 23.
This year sees fans able to play out multiple perspectives of the narrative – as Konnersport looks to achieve championship glory – and continue the legacy of the team beyond ‘Braking Point’ through using the Konnersport team in other game modes.
Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton stars on the front cover of the F1 25 Iconic Edition, with players who purchase this edition receiving in game perks linked to the seven-time world champion, including helmets, decals and gloves, as well as F3 Driver Icons Pack, 18,000 Pitcoin and much more.
The standard edition cover features Haas rookie Oliver Bearman, McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, and new Williams driver Carlos Sainz, with players having the option to purchase the downloadable F1 The Movie content.
