Revised rules for assessing foreign investments in the EU: vote
At noon, Parliament will vote on updated rules to identify and prevent security or public order risks from foreign investments. The draft legislation includes new mandatory screening by EU member states for sectors such as media services, critical raw materials, and transport infrastructure.

Vote on extending rules on gas storage refilling
In a vote at noon, MEPs are expected to endorse the prolongation of more flexible EU rules on gas storage refilling in order to address gas market speculation and help bring down prices. The Industry, Research, and Energy Committee suggests lowering the gas storage filling target from 90% to 83%.

In brief
Disease prevention. At 15:00, MEPs and Commissioner Costas Kadis will debate EU action on treating and preventing conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular neurological diseases, and measles.
Internal market. In the morning, plenary will discuss old challenges and new commercial practices in the internal market with Commission Executive Vice-President Stéphane Séjourné. A resolution will be put to a vote at noon.

At noon, MEPs will vote, among other things, on:
- the return of Ukrainian children forcibly transferred and deported by Russia;
- violations of religious freedom in Tibet;
- the arrest and possible execution of Tundu Lissu, Chair of Chadema, the main opposition party in Tanzania;
- renewing the suspension of current safeguard measures for Ukrainian products imported into the EU;
- the 2024 report on Banking union;
- the 2024 report on competition policy;
- the ninth report on economic and social cohesion in Europe.
