ELA launches training and info sessions on EU transport rules

The European Labour Authority, in partnership with the Confederation of Organisations in Road Transport Enforcement (CORTE), has launched the second edition of its EU-wide training and information programme on social legislation in road transport.

The 2025 edition focuses on passenger transport, offering a combination of online information sessions and on-site training sessions, tailored to the needs of different groups involved in the sector.

Online info sessions for drivers, operators and social partners

In collaboration with the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF), ELA is organising four online sessions targeting:

  • transport operators,
  • professional drivers,
  • social partners.

The sessions will cover key topics under the Mobility Package I, including:

  • driving and rest time rules, including updates for occasional passenger transport,
  • posting of drivers in passenger transport,
  • obligations for light commercial vehicles and their drivers.

The sessions will feature experts from the European Commission, national authorities and social partners. Participants will have the chance to expand their knowledge of legislative changes in the road transport sector.

Interpretation will be provided, and recordings will be made available on ELA’s YouTube channel. Registration for each online session will open in due time. Interested participants can register via the ELA website.
