Calling all photography enthusiasts with a keen interest in the environment. Today the European Environment Agency (EEA) launched its 2025 ‘Environment&Me’ photo competition which aims to put the spotlight on the deep connection between people and our surrounding environment.
For over a decade, the EEA’s annual photo competitions have brought together photographers from across Europe to capture a different environmental theme each year. This year’s competition ‘Environment&Me’ invites citizens to depict their journeys to a sustainable future, to celebrate the progress made and show the unprecedented challenges that shape the world we live in.
How does climate change, pollution, and environmental degradation affect your life? What actions—big or small—are being taken to counter these challenges? Can you capture signs of positive change and hope?
Whether you showcase breathtaking landscapes, stark reminders of environmental harm, moments of innovative transformation, or everyday acts of environmental care, your photos will help tell the story of our shared future.
The competition categories this year are based on themes and colours.
- BLUE – Water & Me
- GREEN – Nature & Me
- ORANGE – Everyday life & Me
