Jury selection is officially underway in the high-profile federal sex trafficking trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, as potential jurors in a New York City courtroom were presented Monday with a massive list of celebrities and locations connected to the case.
The list—described by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian as “several pages” long and resembling “an appendix from Lord of the Rings”—contains names and references prosecutors believe are relevant to the trial.

Other names recognized by potential jurors include Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, actress Lauren London (noted as the late Nipsey Hussle’s former partner), and rapper Kid Cudi. The exact relevance of these individuals to the prosecution or defense has not yet been disclosed, but their inclusion hints at the extensive network and reach of the case.

Defense lawyers have asked to pre-screen prospective jurors in hopes of winnowing out anyone too squeamish to handle sexually explicit videos, photos, and testimony.
Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to all charges and maintains that any sexual encounters in question were consensual. Prosecutors, however, allege a long-running pattern of coercion, violence, and manipulation, accusing Combs of using drugs, intimidation, and threats to orchestrate abusive sex parties spanning years.
To streamline the selection of the final 12 jurors and six alternates, Judge Subramanian ordered that each potential juror be given the full list ahead of time and questioned individually in private sessions.
The trial is expected to draw intense media scrutiny, not only due to Combs’ celebrity status, but also because of the explosive allegations and the inclusion of a laundry list of A-list names.
As jury selection moves forward, all eyes remain on the courtroom—to see not just who will sit in judgment, but what deeper truths may surface once testimony begins.
