While The Daily Wire did not respond to inquiries for comment, they have removed Gleason’s author page from their website. The page can still be accessed through internet archives. However, his author page remains live on The Federalist site.
Describing himself on his X (formerly Twitter) account as a “Christian, Conservative, Educator, podcaster, Writer,” Gleason frequently voiced his conservative views. In one tweet from June 2024, he equated the display of the Ten Commandments in a classroom to the display of a pride flag, a controversial statement reflecting his strong stance on religious values.
Gleason also engaged with a video from Timcast News, a platform led by anti-LGBTQ+ influencer Tim Pool, which featured protesters at New York City’s 2023 Drag March chanting, “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children.”
Gleason responded to the video by tweeting, “No grooming going on here, they’re just coming for our children.”
In addition to his work for the Daily Wire, Gleason worked as a Bible study teacher at Rocky Bayou Christian School in Niceville, Florida.
The school issued an email to parents, obtained by Mid Bay News, confirming that Gleason had been placed on paid administrative leave for two weeks prior to his arrest. The school stated that they are fully cooperating with authorities as they continue their investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have yet to provide further details about the case.
