The Commission launched a public consultation inviting stakeholders and citizens to have their say on the future EU budget and the policies it should support. It will be open until 6 May 2025.

The European budget supports citizens, farmers, researchers, businesses and regions across Europe and beyond. It has proven essential for improving the lives of Europeans

We want to ensure that the next EU budget benefits young people and provides adequate funding for the programmes and policy initiatives, which we know make a difference!

In July 2025, the Commission will put forward proposals for the next long-term budget (MFF) and for the next generation of financial programmes, starting in 2028. 

Therefore, the Commission launched a public consultation inviting stakeholders and citizens to have their say on the future EU budget and the policies it should support. It’s focused on EU funding for cross-border education, training and solidarity, young people, media, culture, and creative sectors, values, and civil society.

The consultation will be open until 6 May 2025.
