Excitement is building as the start of the 2025 season moves ever closer – but before racing gets underway in Australia on March 14-16, there are several key dates for F1 fans’ diaries during what looks set to be a busy pre-season.
Traditionally the period of time before the first race takes place sees each team launch their car for the campaign ahead. However, fans are in for an extra treat in 2025 as this year will also feature the first-ever season launch event, a spectacular evening in which all 10 teams will assemble to unveil their liveries at London’s The O2.

February 14 – Williams reveal
Williams have confirmed that their new challenger, the FW47, will break cover during a special promotional event at Silverstone in front of fans, partners and media on Valentine’s Day, February 14. The car will be unveiled in a bespoke one-off livery, with the 2025 race livery being revealed at the season launch event (more on which below).
February 18 – F1 75 season launch
For the first time in the sport’s history, all of the teams and drivers will gather at London’s The O2 on February 18 for a special season launch event, marking the 75th anniversary of the championship.
All 10 teams will appear – along with the 20 drivers and respective team principals – to unveil their liveries for the 2025 campaign. The evening will also feature special guest presenters and stars from the world of entertainment.

Starting at 2000 GMT, the two-hour event will be streamed live for fans who are not there in person and further details on this will be revealed in due course.
February 19 – Ferrari event
Just one day after the season launch event, Ferrari will reveal their 2025 car at their Fiorano test track in Maranello ahead of Lewis Hamilton making his highly-anticipated debut for the squad.
Team boss Fred Vasseur has confirmed that the team will also run the car on this day, but it is not yet clear whether Hamilton or Charles Leclerc will be getting behind the wheel.

February 26-28 – Pre-season testing
The cars will hit the track for pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain, with testing taking place across three days from February 26-28. This allows the teams to test out new parts and ensure that their cars are reliable for the year ahead.
And with several driver changes occurring for 2025 – only two out of the 10 teams have kept an unchanged line-up – many will be looking to get acquainted with their new environments.
March 14-16 – Season begins
And after all of the launch events and testing days have been completed, attentions will turn to the season-opening Australian Grand Prix at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit in Melbourne on March 14-16, marking the first of 24 rounds of action. Bring on 2025!
