Senator Adam Schiff has admitted that President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI Director Kash Patel is giving him ‘severe insomnia’.
During an appearance on NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” host Kristen Welker asked Schiff to weigh in on Patel’s nomination amid the backdrop of the recent terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas.
“Well, first of all, Kash Patel should NOT be confirmed,” a panicked Schiff responded.

Infowars.com reports: Schiff went on to argue that the New Orleans terror attack “underscores” the importance of having an FBI director with “experience” and “judgement.”
“Not someone whose top priority is political vendettas, who believes in Deep State conspiracy thinking, not someone who is as unqualified as Kash Patel,” Schiff said.
Patel has previously said he would work to prosecute bureaucrats who weaponized their respective intelligence agencies to go after Democrats’ political opponents like Donald Trump.
Schiff’s claim Patel is “unqualified” is misleading given his impressive national security background: Patel served as Chief of Staff of the Defense Department, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Deputy Assistant to the President on the National Security Council, and prosecutor for the Justice Department.
“Kash Patel is an easy one. He should not be confirmed,” Schiff insisted.
Aside from Schiff, other establishment and neocon figures rejected Patel as a viable nominee like former national security advisor John Bolton, disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and former FBI and CIA director William Webster.
That’s a signal Patel is likely a good candidate for the position.
