The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is holding its annual youth event – Your Europe, Your Say! (YEYS) 2025 – in Brussels on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 March 2025.
Some 100 young people will participate. They are representatives of youth organisations, national youth councils and secondary schools as well as from EU Member States, candidate countries and the UK. They will be accompanied by 37 teachers.
The event will focus on the role of young people in collectively shaping a resilient future. The objective is to equip them to engage in civic action and continue to contribute to participatory democracy activities in their communities and beyond.
The opening and closing sessions on Friday 14 March 2025 will be live streamed.
Speakers include:
- Oliver Röpke, President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC);
- Laurențiu Plosceanu, EESC Vice-President for Communication;
- Isabelle Le Galo Flores, EESC Secretary-General;
- Nicoletta Merlo, Vice-President of the EESC Youth Group;
- Biliana Sirakova, EU Youth Coordinator, European Commission.
