The White House press secretary has suggested that the Russia-Ukraine conflict could end ‘this week’

WH Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that President Trump is confident he can strike a deal with Russia to bring an end to the conflict in Ukraine.

As she reurned from CPAC, she told reporters: “The president, his team are very much focused on continuing negotiations with both sides of this war to end the conflict and the president is very confident we can get it done this week,”

InfoWars reports: Leavitt also said that National Security Advisor Matt Waltz was “working around the clock” on a deal, and that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was involved in discussions with the Ukrainians about a deal for access to the country’s mineral resources.

“When it comes to the critical minerals, this is an important piece for the president. It’s very important for the president, because it will recoup American tax dollars,” Leavitt stated.

“And it also will be a great economic partnership between the United States of America and for the Ukrainian people as well as they rebuild their country following this brutal war.”

President Trump has stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “has no cards” and will not be part of the negotiations to end the war.
