German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has declared that free speech must be restricted to pro-globalist talking points in order for it to remain free.
Scholz made the authoritarian declaration at the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) 55th annual Davos confab on Tuesday, sparking widespread backlash online, including criticism from Elon Musk.
Infowars.com reports: “On the question of the dealing of Elon musk, I’ve had a lot of things to comment in the past because he was discussing a lot of things about Europe,” Scholz told the audience, with WEF founder Klaus Schwab sitting next to him.

“And just to repeat what I’ve already said, we have the freedom of speech in Europe, and in Germany everyone can say what he wants, even if he is a billionaire. What we do not accept is if this is supporting extreme-right positions. And this is what I would like to repeat again.”
Scholz made the remarks in reference to Musk’s endorsement of Germany’s right-wing AfD party earlier this month, praising the party’s anti-mass immigration stance and return to populist governance.
Musk hit back at Scholz on X, saying, “Shame on Oaf Schitz!”
This comes just days after former EU Commissioner Thierry Breton admitted the EU intervened to nullify Romania’s election to prevent the winning candidate Călin Georgescu from assuming power, and warned the same outcome will happen in Germany if the AfD wins its upcoming election next month.
“We did it in Romania, and we will do it in Germany if necessary,” a translation from the French of Breton’s recent appearance in European media said.
The AfD is poised to make significant gains in Germany’s upcoming election as a result of the ruling socialist government’s woke, open-borders and pro-censorship agenda, according to recent polling.
Claiming you support freedom of speech, with the exception of certain viewpoints, is the pinnacle of hubristic gaslighting by this out-of-touch politician.
