Trump issues ultimatum to Iran following Israeli strikes: “Make a deal or there will be nothing left”

  • President Donald Trump warned Iran to agree to a nuclear deal or face «even more brutal» consequences, following Israel’s airstrikes on Iranian targets.
  • Israeli warplanes launched a major assault on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, killing IRGC chief Gen. Hossein Salami and several top scientists.
  • Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei condemned the strikes and promised «severe punishment,» calling Israel’s actions a «bloody crime.»
  • Trump said Iran missed a 60-day deadline to reach a deal and warned that further destruction is imminent if Tehran refuses to return to negotiations.
  • Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared the offensive would continue indefinitely, while Iran prepares for a potential military response, deepening fears of a broader war.

President Donald Trump has recently delivered a chilling message to Iran: agree to a nuclear deal or brace for «even more brutal» consequences.

In a series of posts on his Truth Social platform on Friday, June 13, Trump urged Iran to return to nuclear negotiations «before there is nothing left,» as Israel launched a series of devastating airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities in one of the most volatile escalations in the Middle East in years.

«There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end,» Trump posted. «Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.»

Trump made it clear that his patience with Iran has worn thin after Tehran missed the 60-day ultimatum, set in mid-April, to finalize a nuclear agreement with U.S. negotiators.

«I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to ‘just do it,’ but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done,» Trump added in his Friday post. «I told them it would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated or were told, that the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come – And they know how to use it.»

«Certain Iranian hardliner’s spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse! They should have done it! Today is day 61. I told them what to do, but they just couldn’t get there. Now they have, perhaps, a second chance!» he posted.

The comments came just hours after Israeli warplanes targeted nuclear enrichment sites and military installations across Iran, which killed the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Hossein Salami – the most senior Iranian figure reportedly killed in decades.

Iran vows to retaliate against Israel

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed to retaliate in a televised address via Tasnim news agency on Friday.

«The Zionist regime opened its dirty and bloody hand to a crime in our beloved country this morning and revealed its evil nature by striking residential centers more than ever before. The regime must expect a severe punishment,» he said.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a separate seven-minute address that same day to boast that their unprecedented assault, dubbed Operation Rising Lion, would «roll back the Iranian threat to Israel’s very survival» and would «continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat.» (Related: Trump chooses negotiation table over Israeli airstrikes in key Iran policy decision.)
