F1 ACADEMY to race in Montreal until 2028

F1 ACADEMY will continue to race at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve until 2028 inclusive following a three-year extension to the existing agreement, which sees the all-female series race in Montreal for the first time this season.

Last year, the Canadian Grand Prix welcomed a record breaking 350,000 fans across the race weekend. The announcement of this extension reflects a significant commitment from the race promotor, Octane Racing Group, to fuelling the future of female racing talent and inspiring the next generation of young women to get involved in motorsport, both on and off the track.

This weekend at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve marks the halfway point in the F1 ACADEMY title race and promises to provide fans with thrilling on track action.

Meanwhile, Canadian Nicole Havrda, who hails from British Columbia, is set to represent her home nation, racing at the Montreal circuit for the first time in her career this weekend.

The announcement of this milestone partnership comes at a time of significant fan growth for F1 ACADEMY. The highly anticipated documentary F1: The Academy is now streaming globally on Netflix, while the series broadcasts in over 170 global territories and has experienced an 111% growth in social following in 2024.
